Idaho Wells

The Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) has statutory responsibility for all water wells, monitoring wells, low temperature geothermal wells, injection wells and other artificial openings and excavations in the ground greater than 18 vertical feet below land surface.

Well Driller Licensing Forms

No individual or company shall drill or contract to drill a well or wells unless issued a license by the Department of Water Resources. Requirements to become licensed can be found in the Well Driller Licensing Rules. Detailed instructions are provided with each application listed below.
