The Nez Perce Water Rights Settlement 

On May 15, 2004, Governor Dirk Kempthorne and Nez Perce Tribal Executive Committee Chairman Anthony Johnson announced an agreement to settle the Nez Perce water rights claims in the Snake River Basin.
