Microsoft Windows XP Version 5.1 (Build 2600) Service Pack 3; ESRI ArcCatalog 220.127.116.110Points of Diversion (POD) represent where water is diverted from live flow, either surface water or ground water (ie springs, stream or a well), to be put to beneficial use under a water right. A water right (WR) must have at least one, and may have many, PODs. The water use(s) for which diverted water is put can be found under the WR's place of use shape(s) or report. The WRURL attribute links to the water right report. For each WR, any or all PODs can serve any or all uses.
Shapes for PODs were initially developed from GCDB as QQ or QQQ centroids based on the POD legal description. Over time better locational information updates the POD shapes. The locational determination of a POD can be found in the DataSource attribute of the layer.
A water right (WR) can be in one or more of six processes or
Application for a new WR or transfer.
Permit for applicant to develop the water use.
License through which IDWR has approved final configuration and amounts.
Claim is a WR or Beneficial Use which has been claimed in an adjudication.
Recommendation is what IDWR recommends to the court during an adjudication. A recommendation, when approved by the court, is decreed and supercedes its License, if one previously existed.
Transfer of a portion of the WR or claim. Generally through a change of ownership, or change in one or more elements of the WR or claim. To represent general locations of licensed or decreed diversions in Idaho.IDWRCurrentLicensed or Decreed Points of Diversionvector digital dataDeveloped primarily by IDWR's Water Rights or Adjudication Sections.publication dateContinually-114.298762-114.29876242.63309242.633092IdahoNoneNone322 E Front Stmailing and physical addressBoiseID83720USAmailing and physical addressMichael Ciscellidaho Department of Water ResourcesSenior GIS Analyst208email@example.com AM - 5 PM MTIDWRUnclassifiedMicrosoft Windows XP Version 5.1 (Build 2600) Service Pack 3; ESRI ArcCatalog 18.104.22.1680WR_POD2475503.972475503.971270338.661270338.661-114.298762-114.29876242.63309242.6330921FGDC Content Standards for Digital Geospatial MetadataFGDC-STD-001-1998local timemailing and physical addressBoiseID83720322 E Front StUSA208-287-4915Senior GIS Analyst208firstname.lastname@example.org:00 AM - 5:00 PM MTMichael CiscellIdaho Department of Water Resources20090503NoneNoneUnclassifiedISO 19115 Geographic Information - MetadataDIS_ESRI1.0datasetDownloadable Data208-287-4915mailing and physical address322 E Front StBoiseID83720USAIdaho Department of Water Resources002file://\\A017\PublicFolders\MCiscell\A028_DATA\Metadata\WR_POD_metadataLocal Area NetworkFile Geodatabase Feature ClassVectorEntity point1coordinate pairmeters0.0000010.000001Transverse Mercator0.999600-114.00000042.0000002500000.0000001200000.000000North American Datum of 1983Geodetic Reference System 806378137.000000298.257222Explicit elevation coordinate included with horizontal coordinates1.000000IDTM831WR_PODIDWR's Water Rights databaseSHAPEFeature geometry.ESRICoordinates defining the features.WaterRightNumberConcatenation of BasinNumber, SequenceNumber and SplitSuffixIDWRBasinNumberIDWR Administrative Basin within which the right diverts water.
