The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is a comprehensive set of digital spatial data that contains information about surface water features such as lakes, ponds, streams, rivers, springs and wells. The Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) is being incorporated with the NHD (National Hydrography Dataset Release Notes Model Version 2.0; July 09, 2010). The WBD was co-developed by the USGS and the Natural Resource Conservation Service in cooperation with many other federal and state agencies. On December 02, 2008 Idaho received a Full Certification status for the WBD effort in Idaho.
